 The Future is Bright

Empowering Communities Through Sports and Fitness

Creating Opportunity. Building Confidence. Changing Lives.

At Motiv8 London CIC, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to be active, develop their potential and feel part of their community.

Yet for many families, women and girls, disabled young people and young adults, barriers such as cost, confidence, accessibility, caring responsibilities and limited opportunities can prevent people from taking part.

We're working to change that.

Through accessible sport, fitness, wellbeing, mentoring and training opportunities, we aim to create safe and supportive environments where people can build confidence, improve their wellbeing, develop new skills and discover new possibilities.

We are currently seeking funding and partnerships to develop and expand a number of targeted community initiatives.

Our Community Programmes

Respite Activities for Families

Supporting Families. Creating Time to Recharge.

Caring for a loved one can be rewarding, but it can also be demanding.

Our proposed Family Respite Activities will provide families and carers with opportunities to take part in fun, safe and enriching activities, while giving caregivers valuable time to rest, recharge and look after their own wellbeing.

Activities will be designed to encourage movement, creativity, social connection and positive family experiences.

Our goals:

  • Support family health and wellbeing
  • Provide positive recreational experiences
  • Give caregivers opportunities to rest and recharge
  • Strengthen family relationships and connections
  • Encourage families to enjoy being active together

The impact: Families can access positive experiences while caregivers receive valuable respite and support.

More Sports, More Inclusive

Creating Opportunities for Disabled Young People

Everyone deserves the chance to participate in sport. Our proposed inclusive sports and fitness programmes will provide adapted activities and supportive coaching designed around the needs and abilities of disabled young people.

We want to create an environment where participants feel welcome, supported and able to participate at their own pace.

Through sport and physical activity, we aim to support physical wellbeing while creating opportunities for friendship, confidence and social inclusion.

Our goals:

  • Improve physical health and activity levels
  • Increase participation in sport
  • Build confidence and independence
  • Encourage social connection and inclusion
  • Provide accessible and enjoyable sporting experiences
  • Support young people to discover their abilities

The impact:

More disabled young people having the opportunity to participate, develop confidence and feel included within their community.

More Women, More Girls

Empowering Women and Girls Through Sport

Women and girls should feel confident, safe and supported to participate in sport and physical activity.

Our proposed programmes will provide opportunities for women and girls to get active, build confidence, develop skills and explore leadership opportunities.

We want to help remove barriers to participation and create positive environments where women and girls can enjoy sport — whether for fun, fitness, personal development or as a pathway towards a career.

Our goals:

  • Increase participation in sport and physical activity
  • Improve health and wellbeing
  • Build confidence and self-belief
  • Create opportunities for leadership and personal development
  • Encourage women and girls to explore careers in sport and fitness
  • Help break down barriers to participation

The impact:
More women and girls feeling confident, active and empowered to take opportunities both on and off the sports field.

More Mentors, More Leaders

Creating Pathways for Young People

Sport can be the beginning of a career.

Through our proposed youth apprenticeship, mentoring and training opportunities, we aim to help young adults gain practical experience and develop the skills needed to progress into employment.

Participants will have opportunities to learn in real-world environments while developing skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, organisation and coaching.

Our goals:

  • Provide practical experience in sport and fitness
  • Develop employability and leadership skills
  • Provide mentoring and guidance
  • Build confidence and aspirations
  • Create pathways towards employment and further training
  • Develop the next generation of coaches and sports professionals

The impact:

Young people gaining the experience, skills, confidence and support they need to take their next step towards employment and a positive future.

Our Approach

Sport as a Tool for Positive Change

For us, sport isn't simply about exercise.

It can be a way to:

  • Build confidence.
  • Improve wellbeing.
  • Develop skills.
  • Create friendships.
  • Discover potential.
  • Open doors.

Our approach is centred around creating programmes that are accessible, inclusive, engaging and community-focused.

We want every participant to leave a Motiv8 programme with something more than when they arrived — whether that's a new skill, greater confidence, a new friendship or simply the feeling that they belong.

Help Us Create More Opportunities

Your Support Can Help Us Reach More People

Our vision is to create sustainable programmes that provide meaningful opportunities for people who may otherwise face barriers to participation.

To make this possible, we are seeking support from funders, trusts and foundations, businesses, community partners and individuals who share our commitment to healthier, stronger and more inclusive communities.

Funding can help us provide:

  • Qualified coaches and mentors
  • Accessible sports and fitness sessions
  • Equipment and resources
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Youth apprenticeships and mentoring
  • Family respite activities
  • Inclusive activities for disabled young people
  • Sports and leadership opportunities for women and girls

Let's Make a Difference Together

Every partnership can help create another opportunity.

Every programme can help someone become more confident.

Every young person supported can take another step towards their future.

Together, we can use sport and fitness to create healthier, more confident and more connected communities.
